Relationship Therapy
Marc Fernandez, LMFT
My life’s work is to help people navigate relationship challenges, whether those challenges show up with a significant other, family members, friends or even with themselves. I work collaboratively, hollistically, and I believe that cultural awarness, responsiveness, and inclusivity are paramount to creating longstanding change throughout the therapeutic process.
On paper, I am a New York State Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (License #001287) and an AAMFT Approved Clinical Supervisor.
Outside of my private practice, I work for Iona University as the Clinical Director of its nationally accredited (COAMFTE) Marriage and Family Therapy Graduate Training Program. I am also an adjunct professor and clinical supervisor at Iona University.
My post-graduate clinical training includes being certified as an Emotionally Focused Couples Therapist and as a Prepare/Enrich pre-marital counselor.
Furthermore, my clinical work has often gravitated towards counseling middle-aged men who struggle with relationship anxiety, depression, and/or trauma. Feel free to reach out for a phone consultation to find out if I would be a good fit to work with you.
